RESUMEN

En este artículo se recogen todas las referencias a mujeres que pueden encontrarse en el corpus epistolar del yacimiento de Yorghan Tepe, antigua Nuzi (norte de Iraq, siglos XV-XIV a. C.). Tomando cuenta de los paralelos que pueden hallarse en otros ámbitos del Próximo Oriente Antiguo, se analizan esas referencias y se discute qué aspectos revelan acerca de la vida de las mujeres en el antiguo reino de Arrapḫe durante la Edad del Bronce Final.

ABSTRACT

This article compiles all references to women that can be found in the letters from the site of Yorghan Tepe, ancient Nuzi (northern Iraq, 15th-14th centuries BC). Taking into account parallels that can be found elsewhere in the Ancient Near East, it analyses these references and discusses what they reveal about the life of women in the ancient kingdom of Arrapḫe in the Late Bronze Age.
